From 2003 until 2007, John was busy exploring the coastal waters of the North Carolina region in a 14-ft water ski boat, the Carolina Voyager. He subsequently moved into a smaller boat, a kayak, and focused his attention far upstream, in the Appalachian Mountains, which offer lots of great whitewater.

Finally, 11 years later, he began to blog about it in this post. There have been numerous Facebook posts in the mean time – check here (friend me if you want full access).
