Border Piece of a Bed Coverlet Woven by Barbara Isely
This 20 cm by 20 cm piece of a bed coverlet was woven for Christian H.
Isely by his mother, Barbara Otzenberger Isely, in about 1840. It was
subsequently given to Christian's daughter,
Alice. Alice later gave pieces of it
to Christian's grandchildren.
Here is the note which Alice sent to Marion Isely Alexander
and her husband Gordan with this piece.
The weaving and note were provided for scanning by Marion and Gordan's
daughter Anne Bingham.
